Benji, as a creative 🎭

I’m a product designer with experience at startups, mission-driven nonprofits, and large corporate teams and a recent Drexel grad in User Experience and Interaction Design. Whether I’m designing a feature, serving a meal, or planning a video, I’m always thinking about how the smallest details shape how people feel.

I grew up in Philadelphia, where my parents own two restaurants. Working in them for the past seven years taught me how to read people, anticipate needs, and create moments that feel thoughtful without needing to say much. That hospitality mindset still guides how I approach design: with empathy and intention.

Creativity has always been my fuel. I get energy from making things—designing, filming, editing, experimenting. In my free time, I build my personal social media pages, explore different content formats, and follow what inspires me. I’ve always been drawn to spaces where storytelling, design, and emotion intersect.

My goal is to bring all of that into the products I design: experiences that feel meaningful.

01 Listen 👂

I start by listening to users, teammates, and stakeholders. I ask a lot of questions and try to understand what’s actually going on, not just what people say they need.

02 Patterns 🧩

Once I have the context, I organize what I’ve heard and look for patterns. Whether it's survey responses or interview notes, I like breaking it all down and figuring out what actually matters.

03 Brainstorm 🧠

Sometimes I start on paper. Other times it’s straight into Figma or even the Notes app on my phone. I move quickly in this phase so I can get feedback before going too deep into things.

04 Prototype 🖍️

From there, I turn those ideas into clear flows, prototypes, and visuals that are easy to understand and hand off. I care a lot about how things look, but even more about how they feel.

05 Improve Together 🫂

Nothing is ever perfect on the first try. I take in feedback, test when I can, and keep shaping the product with the team until it’s something we’re proud of.

Dinner in Chicago 🥘

A standout Mexican meal I still think about. Good food always reminds me how much care goes into a great experience.

Matcha in Philly 🍵

I usually go for a cold brew. Still, I love trying matchas in different cities. Each one has its own vibe.

The Getty in LA 🖼️

I love wandering through museums and seeing what kind of weird, beautiful, or “wait, that’s art?” moments I run into. The Getty never disappoints.
