DeepCast is a podcast platform built to make life easier for both creators and listeners. For podcasters, DeepCast Pro offers tools to help grow their audience, promote their content, and increase discoverability. For listeners, DeepCast uses AI to recommend podcasts, generate transcripts, and provide insights, so they can easily find and enjoy the shows they love.

DeepCast Pro is a premium offering for podcasters, designed to help them grow their audience, enhance content engagement, and improve discoverability. My role was to develop an MVP for the landing page and dashboard portal that clearly communicated the value of this premium feature while laying the groundwork for tools to assist podcasters. This project had a tight timeline, requiring a balance between UX planning, user-centered design, and iteration.

This gap shows the need for a premium feature like DeepCast Pro, a solution that brings everything together by giving podcasters practical tools, growth strategies, and an easier way to elevate their podcasts across all platforms.

HOW IT WORKS... 🤔

The DeepCast Pro flow is designed to be quite simple. Users start by verifying ownership of their podcast through a simple claim process. Once verified, they’re redirected to their personalized dashboard, where they can switch between multiple claimed podcasts. From there, they gain access to DeepCast Pro’s tools, allowing them to optimize content, grow their audience, and enhance engagement all in one place.

THE RESEARCH PROCESS

I decided to conduct competitor research to analyze Spotify and PodcastAI's landing pages and marketing strategies for introducing new features. This helped me understand how similar platforms communicate value and attract users. Here's what I learned:

1. CLEAR VALUE PROPOSITION 💎

I learned that a strong value proposition is key to capturing user interest. Spotify clearly highlights benefits like discovery and engagement, while PodcastAI emphasizes AI-driven insights. This showed me the importance of making DeepCast Pro’s value immediately clear to podcasters.

2. AUDIENCE ANALYTICS 📊

Spotify for Podcasters provides detailed metrics on listener demographics, playthrough rates, and engagement, but lacks in-depth AI-powered recommendations for content improvement.

3. CONSISTENT DASHBOARD 💻

I learned the importance of a consistent, customizable dashboard that’s easy to navigate. Spotify keeps layouts intuitive, while PodcastAI focuses on AI-driven insights but lacks personalization. This reinforced the need for clear navigation and flexible settings in DeepCast Pro.

DESIGN GOALS 🏆

The landing page design prioritized making the "Claim Podcast" CTA the main action, incorporating brand colors uniquely, and using engaging graphics to highlight the feature’s value. For the dashboard, the focus was on ensuring podcast customization features were easily accessible without requiring users to search for them.

With a tight timeline to prepare for investor presentations, the design process was fast-paced and iterative. I explored multiple versions before landing on a detailed MVP that effectively showcased DeepCast Pro’s value. The goal was to create a polished yet functional design that could clearly communicate the feature’s potential.
